Samuel Smith's ales and stouts are fermented in "stone Yorkshire squares" fermenting vessels made of solid slabs of slate, which give the beers a fuller bodied taste. Brewed with well water, the best malted barley and a generous amount of choicest aroma hops, this is a full-flavored, complex ale with an abundance of maltiness and fruity hop character. 5% abv.
