This robust, fruity Malbec-based Red Blend features layers of bold and approachable flavor from the interplay of the native and international varieties featured in the blend.
We start with our juicy, incredibly aromatic and concentrated Malbec and its dense plum, juicy blackberry and black cherry flavors typical of Malbec from the adventurous Mendoza wine-growing region. Uniquely, we add Bonarda to the blend, a European variety that thrives in Argentina. Commonly known as Charbono in the United States, Bonarda adds intense color, dried fruit character, and classic savory notes of leather and black olives. Cabernet Sauvignon adds rich berry and slight herbal notes, while intriguingly spicy black pepper and blueberry notes come from Syrah. The Red Blend is 65% Malbec, 16% Bonarda, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 9% Syrah.
